The Honestas has moved north! After a poor start to the season in Cromarty (where we caught very few fish) I decided to move the Honestas up to the Shetland Isles. Being from Shetland, I have first hand knowledge of the area's fishing grounds and can guarantee you'll find very few places that can offer what these islands can when it comes to sea angling. In fact, the current world record holding ling and tusk were caught in Shetland waters, at just over 88lbs and 15lbs respectively.
But fear not, if Shetland seems a little far away the Honestas will continue to keep her ties with Scotland as I will be running trips from Scrabster too. In fact the boat will be down in Scrabster next month, for a planned trip to explore the Pentland Firth. There are still dates available for this summer, and if you have an idea for a trip or want to explore the waters and voes of Shetland or the north coast of Scotland give me a call and I will book you in.
Whether you come up to Shetland or Scrabster, I can guarantee you an experience not to be missed. The boat looks great after all the refurbishment work that has been done over the winter and the space on board makes any trip just that bit more enjoyable.
